When working with very high vibrational energies such as Reiki, it is absolutely imperative for your health and well-being to ground the energy and do it correctly. I would like to share with you the following for doing grounding. Love & light, Judith

When grounding after receiving healing, sending or receiving an attunement or sending or receiving healing, it is absolutely imperative that you ground the energy to the Earth and remain grounded to Earth. Do not cut off the your connection to the Earth. In doing so, you unground yourself in the process. The Earth is your supply of life-sustaining energy and staying grounded will keep you healthy and happy!

When grounding and reconnecting with the Earth, do not visualize anything draining out of you Instead, see your roots go down through your feet (try this standing up instead of sitting)... brown roots like real tree roots (at least 3 of the, possibly more) all the way to the center of the Earth.

Then see those roots touch the hot and red core of the Earth. See those roots turn red (without burning) and see them become dancing fire and in that fire, you see the figures of your ancestors... especially your women ancestors, twirling and dancing within the fire. See their hair moving in the wind of the fire and as they turn and dance. See them dancing up the roots in lines, holding hands, touching but still moving freely, upwards and into the soles of your feet. See and feel that red, dancing energy move up through your feet, your ankles and into your knees... see some of those figures stay in your feet, your ankles, your calves and your knees. Then feel them move up and into your root chakra area. Feel the heat and the energy and see the cave that is your womb illuminated by this wonderful energizing and cleansing fire. In that fire, anything that is in this chakra that doesn't belong will simply be extinguished. When you feel cleansed and warmed there, see the red energy move to your second chakra and become orange. It moves through your second, opening you and helping you to feel like laughing because it feels so good! Then see the orange energy move to your diaphragm and become yellow... sunlight yellow and active, streaming energy and moving upwards into your heart where the yellow mixes with the blue of your throat and becomes the green of your heart. See the green grow and become vibrant and alive and filling your entire rib cage and lungs. Breathe in the scent of this green and know that you are alive.

The blue of throat has already connected with the yellow of the third chakra and you feel the energy rise into your throat and you want to shout or sing! Give a whoop as the energy moves to your third eye and becomes indigo and soft... from there it immediately opens your crown and as your crown opens, it turns purple and rushes upwards where it meets the Rainbow Great Spirit. You bring the Rainbow down into your crown and allow it to rest there as a rainbow on your brow.

You look down at yourself and you see the roots rising from the center of the Earth and the changes in the energy as it moves through the divine centers of your body. You keep this link open and active with the Earth where it can rise up and meet the Rainbow. In this way you become the true human Bridge of the divine on Earth.

Using this technique, you keep your connection with the Earth open and active and you have the strength then to keep your crown and third chakras open and active to channel Reiki all the time.
