A
Agate: Agate is a variety of quartz, a multi-branded stone. Translucent to opaque in a variety of colors, these gemstones are known to be the stone of peace and healing. They were prized gems in antiquity during the Biblical Babylonian times. Believed to attract strength and protect from stress and energy drains. Agates have been used in the home and as jewelry since the earliest records of history. Agate stones are believed to have healing powers, promote fertility, bring balance and harmony in the home, symbolizes health and longevity. Agates come is many varied types,shades and colors.
Agate - Moss: Moss Agate is sometimes referred to as the ‘Gardener’s Stone.” It’s said to lead one towards agreeability and bring about abundance, success, and prosperity. It is used to improve self-esteem and strengthen positive personality traits and decrease stress levels. Moss agate, like all agate is also a protective stone. It is said to reduce the difficulties associated with overcoming addictive behaviors. Moss agate is associated with the heart chakra. It’s a stone of love and friendship. In crystal healing it is used to help with digestive or intestinal disorders.
Amazonite: Amazonite remains one of my favorite stones. It is gentle, calming, friendly and soothing and offers quite a bit in terms of its vibrational resonation. Prosperity and good luck are just two of the things that this stone can afford the wearer. It opens the throat, heart, and activates the solar plexus centers for self-expression, artistic creativity, healing. It heals the throat and thyroid and can help to restore electrical impulses to slowed nerve and brain paths. It reduces self-damaging behavior, increases straight posture of self-respect, confidence, grace, self-assuredness while communicating. It is great over a door to bring in new business. It soothes the brain and nervous system and helps filter information and combines it with natural intuition. It enhances masculine qualities so is very good for a woman to wear who is opening a new business or embarking on a career in a male-dominated area. It is good for anyone involved in the arts.
Amber: Amber is the ancient fossilized resin from prehistoric pine trees. It is highly electromagnetic. It is great to wear when doing past life work. It opens the solar plexus and aids in mental clarity, mood balancing and strengthening confidence. It aligns the mental and emotional bodies. It will neutralize negative energy and is a grounding healer. It can add stability to your life. It is very helpful for clearing up depression and bringing about a positive mental state. It should be cleansed after being used for healing because it tends to absorb negative energy. It exerts a positive influence on the endocrine system and promotes healing, soothing and harmonizing. Electrically alive with solidified golden light, it stabilizes kundalini awakening which can be overwhelming at times. It activates an altruistic nature and spiritualizes the intellect. It resonates with the navel, solar plexus and crown chakras.
Amethyst: Amethyst is a stone of faith. It brings us closer to our Higher-Power. This is not a simple precious stone. All who open up to it will evolve a greater sense of responsibility... to themselves and to others. This uplifts the universe because we matter. And this stone helps us to understand that we do matter. This stone requires us, therefore, to make sacrifices for the good of all. It challenges us and our abilities. It is surpassed only by the blue sapphire in its solidity and intensity. It is nonetheless restricted in its physical healing abilities. Its greatest source of healing is in its ability to connect us with our own inner truths. This can sometimes create distress when we are not willing or able to face parts of ourselves. It enhances right brain activity and the pineal and pituitary glands. It historically has been known for its ability to transmute ones lower nature into the more highly refined aspects of your higher potentials in all areas. It is the physical representative of the Violet Ray of alchemy and transformation, and so cuts through illusion and enhances psychic abilities. It also has a calming effect on the entire being It naturally activates the third eye and crown chakras.
Andalusite: Andalusite is a gemstone that is used to cleanse the aura. It is used in healing to clear blockages in the chakras and energy meridians of the body. It has been known to stimulate the Star Chakra (above the head) and the Earth Star Chakra (below the feet), creating a high vibration bridge that helps to manifest the Higher Self. It is a wonderful stone for learning to open to (and receive) energy from the universe. Angelite: Angelite is known as the "Stone of Awareness", representing peace. It is used to contact the angelic realms and enhances telepathy. It is used by healers for its ability to deepen attunement and heighten awareness. It is a form of celestite that has been compressed by Mother Earth over billions of years and it shares many of the same properties as that of celestite. Angelite is a ruler of the fifth chakra and helps one to speak their truth. It is a stone of compassion and is used in healing to unblock pain and disorder, reorganizing those energies into energy that can bring wholeness and healing. Apatite: Teal (Blue/Green) Apatite stimulates psychic development and can help to eliminate blockages in its development. It opens and activates the throat chakra and balances the throat with the crown chakra while helping a person to recognize that universal energy is always helping you to find your life path and to give that path meaning. Apatite also helps to access your Akashic Records to find reoccuring patterns of life energy that will give you insight into the path that you now walk. Apatite is said to be good for anyone who wishes to lose weight, although I do not have any personal experience with that.
Apophyllite (A-poh-fil-light): Apophyllite is a spiritual tool that has been used by Tibetan shamans for centuries. It enhances spiritual connection and understanding to those who are in the healing arts. When used with intent, apophyllite will creat a conscious connection between the physical and the spiritual. It will connect you to the Angelic realms and can be used in meditation to connect with your angel guides. Apophyllite, like selenite, brings a bright and joyous energy to the environment. It can help to charge the energy centers of the body and bring abundance of bright white light into the mind. Apophyllite can be used for astral projection and protect you during the journey, allowing you to remember the lessons learned and the knowledge gathered during the out of body experience. Aquamarine: Aquamarine is a tranquilizing, soothing and uplifting gemstone that promotes openess, innocence, lightheartedness, creativity, communication, self-awareness, confidence and purpose. It can help to release anxiety, fear and restlessness and instills a sense of peaceful stillness. Breathing allergies, water travel, journeys, seeing through people, protection. Helps stabilize and harmonize unsettled surroundings. Filters out unnecessary information to the brain. Helps the eyes, jaw, neck, stomach, teeth, and throat. Was given to sailors as protection against drowning and for courage in battle. Helps reduce fears. Has an affinity with sensitive and mystical people. Increases creativity and sharpens intuition. Excellent stone for meditation. Helps one attune to nature. Quiets the mind and reduces stress. Helps bring about a tolerance toward others. Recommended as a purifier of the throat and helps sore throats. Clears blocked communication and aids the user in verbal expression. Aragonite: Aragonite increases energy, in particular it increases the energy of prayers and magick charms. Metaphysically is it said to boost self-confidence and feelings of self-worth. Diminishes anger and relieving stress are other metaphysical . Aragonite is professed by mystical lore to be beneficial for chronic fatigue, hair loss. Aids in the focusing and centering of ones energy especially during times of anger, stress, or while preparing to meditate. Helps one remain connected and in communication with the universe while dealing with the issues and obstacles of this plane. Enhances patience, direction and self discipline.
Aventurine: Aventurine is a healing stone and a POWER STONE. It is another of the heart shielding stones like Tiger’s Eye, but it acts in different way. Aventurine acts as an aid in healing and balancing the emotions and relieving emotional stress. It enhances creativity and independence. It helps one see alternatives and brings about balance in heart areas by dissolving blocks. The 6th chakra is activated by this stone. A very potent stone, it also has the properties that have historically been known to bring good luck and abundance. It has the ability to amplify leadership qualities in the wearer. It also connects us to our purpose in life and helps us feel certain that we will fulfill whatever it is we set out to do. This is a very determined stone. It is responsible for the "I Can Do It" perception we have when we wear it or meditate with it. This is an important stone for physical healing, of yours and others if you use this point for healing of others Aventurine is a good luck stone. Green aventurine rules the heart chakra. Yellow aventurine is all of the above, but also acts as a 3rd chakra activator and shield.
Azurite (A-zu-right): Azurite is a dark blue copper-based stone found in association with Malachite, which is its cousin. Less common than Malachite but found in abundance in Arizona, it activates the brow and throat chakras, helping one to become more assertive in communication of one's values, needs and wants, as well as to enhance the creative spark. It is crystal that enhances mental functioning and introspection. It is called the "Jewel of Wisdom". As it helps to unblock and open the throat chakra, it creates a connection with the heart and the third eye, increasing psychic abilities, creativity, decisiveness, and insight, while at the same time it helps to reduce depression and anger. The deep blue stone helps you release the past and gracefully anticipate and accept the future simultaneously. It is also worn, or placed on the body, to greatly enhance meditation.

Beryl - Golden: Golden Beryl is a third chakra stone and as such teaches independence and the will to succeed. It gives vibrational aid to achieving what needs to be done, while shedding unnecessary baggage along the way. As such, it is a stone of manifestation and bridges the solar plexus with the crown chakra, activating and opening both.
Beryl - Pink (Morganite): Morganite (Pink Beryl) is a heart chakra activator and helps to unblock this chakra in a more direct and powerful way than rose quartz does. It is a stone that help us to hear and translate messages from our guides. Morganite is a powerful love stone and can help you to act from the heart charka, from love. It opens the door that enables us to activate compassion and loving actions and thoughts into all spheres of our life.
Bloodstone: Bloodstone (Heliotrope) works to increase courage and helps in avoiding dangerous situations by soothing the mind. It also helps raise consciousness when used with that intent. It has been used to bring rain as well as abundance. It neutralizes cynicism by allowing the mind to organize around the principles of abundance and trust. It helps to do this by cleansing and realigning the energies of the lower chakras. Like hematite, it is a stone of courage. Used in ancient Egypt to calm, ground and revitalize, this is the classic stone for attracting wealth. But as a healing stone, it is absolutely remarkable in how Bloodstone releases physical and/or emotional toxins from the wearer. Bloodstone is highly electromagnetic and is often worn or carried to deflect negativity from the wearer and one's environment. It is a very effective aura scrubber and can help to heal energy leaks or holes. It's best known as a stone that helps to bring alignment and organization by smoothing energy flow and creating an environment that engenders generosity, good fortune and idealism when used with intent.
Blue Chalcedony: Blue Chalcedony is very helpful in the areas of the throat chakra, cleansing and balancing as well as the upper chakras. It assists in the area of communication. A spiritual stone and one which can be used with intent to contact spirit guides and angels.
Bronzite: Bronzite is a stone that can be helpful in stimulating decision making on unresolved issues in one's life by providing the push to do what is needed, while still being able to enjoy the process. It is called the "Stone of Courtesy" and is helpful to those who work in service to others.

Calcite: Calcite, in general, is an excellent purifier and cleanser of negative stored energies in human beings, working on all levels from the physical to the etheric, and so, works to lessen fear and reduce stress. It will also do the same for a room that it lives in. It is known as a stone of spirituality and wisdom, allowing for spiritual awareness and understanding into problems on the Earth plane. It is said to amplify and clear the human energy field. I have known healers who used it to channel with and to increase intution. It is an excellent choice when sending distance healing. Calcite is an excellent stone for students because it amplifies mental abilities, creativity, imagination and learning. When used in meditation, it is great for centering and then grounding and brings with it a very real sense of vibrant inner peace
Calcite - Green: Green Calcite is a stone of prosperity in business, and abundance in fertility. It bridges the heart and intellect (ego), bringing about a greater understanding of heart issues. It has been used as a manifestation crystal because of its ability to create “increase” in many areas of life, not just money, but definitely that.
Calcite - Yellow: Yellow Calcite stimulates the intellect by organizing thoughts and the processing of information. It will boost energy levels and can be used in meditation and enhancing psychic abilities for channeling.
Carnelian: Carnelian can boost the confidence, boldness, initiative, dramatic abilities, assertiveness, and outgoingness of the wearer. If you are shy, wear carnelian. Especially a pure orange, clear carnelian. It can help you realize mental precision and analysis, and will increase the appetite and awareness of feelings. Orange carnelian is chakra warming and energizing of the 2nd chakra especially. Warms and cleanses the blood and kidneys. Carnelian has been used to the emotions, passion, sexuality, and physical energy with great success. Wear this stone when there is cause for celebration! You will end up partying all night! Historically it has been used to pull excess fever out through the feet. Comes in a variety of colors ranging from red to orange and, in some cases, even to dark brown. Helps you feel anchored and comfortable with your surroundings. Provides a connection to the past or to historical events. Strongly influences the reproductive organs. Purifies the blood and liver, and it is excellent for lower back trouble. Can improve motivation. Helps one achieve greater success in career or personal matters. Helps ground people who meditate.
Celestite: Celestite is known as the “Angels Stone”. It is wonderful as a helper crystal while developing healing skills and as a mother in reaching new spiritual heights. It helps to open the crown chakra and instills a feeling of innocence and empathy. It can aid one is contacting spiritual guardians and guides. It is a superb healing stone! It helps to transmute pain and chaos into love and light through the receiving of intiutive knowledge about oneself and about others. It is an excellent choice when doing dream work and astral travel.
Chalcopyrite: Chalcopyrite (also called Peacock Ore) is a mineral used to assist one in finding "lost" objects! It also will often "disappear" to accumulate information which will be beneficial to the user. Used to enhance ones abilities of perception and to strengthen ones contact with the ancient cultures of the universe. Removes energy blockages, totally opens the crown chakra, cleansing and activating at the same time. Excellent for use in attaining (and maintaining) a deep meditative state. It can be used with focused intent to stimulate and repair RNA/DNA damage, reduce inflammation and to relieve pressure of tumors and/or growths. It can also be used to activate and maintain the energies of the body. It is therefore helpful for those with chronic illnesses and those who are receiving chemotherapy and/or radiation treatments. Chalcopyrite is one of the most grounding stones in use and assists in focus,logic and practicality towards clear and unscattered thinking. The energies of this stone can help to pull one out of depression by focusing on the real from a grounded position.
Charoite: Charoite is a soul stone with deep physical and emotional healing energies. It is a stone of transformation and is used to overcome fears. Charoite stimulates your inner vision. It can be used to overcome obsessions and compulsions. It grounds the spiritual self, opening and balancing the crown chakra. Lifts energy when the body is exhausted, regulates blood pressure, assists with deep sleep and powerful dreams. Put charoite beneath your pillow, especially if you are prone to disturbed sleep or fears which surface in dreams. When worn in combination with amethyst, it will help to release these fears. It is a stone for those who work in the healing or spiritual fields, such as a minister, high priestess of the craft, counselor, therapist or priest.
Cinnabar (Sin-a-bar): Cinnabar (Dragon's Blood) is a gemstone that attracts abundance. It has historically been used as an aide in prospering in one's endeavors of business, while also assisting in the ability to organize and work with finances. Want to change your image? Cinnabar can be worn to help with this. Typically it is worn to assist in seeing oneself with dignity, elegance and power. A great stone for any speaker, it is also worn to help with mental clarity and fluency of speech. Spiritually, it helps to release energy blocks and like blue kyanite, it aligns the energy centers. A very good stone (like amazonite) to keep in a cash drawer.
Citrine: Citrine is called the "Lucky Merchants Stone". If you are in sales, put a piece of citrine in your cash drawer and watch what happens! Seriously. Citrine is also called "the stone of the mind". In ancient cultures, the stone was placed on the forehead of elders to increase psychic power. Also used by healers, citrine is used to increase self-esteem, as a protection against negative energy, to open one's mind and promote clarity of thought. I can vouch for all three of things in conjunction with this stone. But I call this stone the "Happy Stone". Citrine is one of the few stones on Earth that DOES NOT hold or accumulate negative energy. It radiates light and peace of mind and joy. My personal experience with this stone shows me that it can activate a sense of childlike wonder and innocence in life again. In this day and age, we need more of that. Wearing citrine activates and helps to balance the yellow chakra and open the sixth chakra. What an incredible stone. I love this gemstone!!!
Copper: Copper is an excellent energy conductor! When worn next to skin, it acts to detoxify the body and soothes arthritis, rheumatism, and other inflammation problems. It is a warming element and helps to release resentment and anger, which tends to build up in the joints as arthritis. Exhaustion recovery, circulation, balances warm sun energy and cool lunar energy. Helps stabilize the metabolism and heightens the immune system. The blood also benefits from copper. Soft tissue and mucous membranes retain more moisture and become less susceptible to irritation. An excellent aid for increasing your ability to express and accept true feelings and to balance emotional reserve and confidence.

Emerald: Emerald is a life-affirming stone.It is commonly known as the “stone of successful love” and is worn to bring about strong relationships of all kinds. It imparts balance within all relationships and has a calming affect on the emotions. It is used to help focus intention and bring about mental clarity, which also helps to bring about positive actions.It can help to open psychic abilities.

Fluorite: Flourite is best known for it ability to remove blocks. It also permits us to recognize our own limitations. This stone is a very good one for the times we live in. It can help to soothe pain and heal emotional wounds. It is, however, a determined gem. It doesn't give up working for you. It can help us understand what are necessary boundaries in our lives, and what are limitations that we can work to get rid of. It can help to dissolve mental blocks. It is also a gem that induces belief in ourselves if we are open to that. It is a fabulous healing stone and is perfect for intuiting blocks in others. Purple Fluorite: Objectivity; clears the way for new things, uplifting, aura cleanse, 3rd eye, eyesight, sinuses; repels colds. Enhances other gems. Green Fluorite: Stills mind and heart, harmonizes and recharges all Chakra. Green Fluorite is a valuable helper in grounding excess energies. Blue fluorite is a stone that helps bring orderly thoughts to life. Brings a calming energy. Good stone for bringing clear communication skills. It helps relieve light workers who are overworked. Also all the general properties of Fluorite.
Fossilized Coral: Fossilized Coral used to be a living animal. Coral (and finding coral on a beach) is considered a high spiritual gift (much like finding a white bird's feather). Don’t ever walk past a piece of coral on the beach without picking it up. It is considered, by most healers, best not to use coral at all unless it has been found (rather than killed). When coral is used in healing and spiritual journeying, it can be used to bring about diplomacy and concurrence, quiets emotions, and inner-peace. It can be used to open and strengthen intuition, imagination, and visualization. It can be used to strengthen both the circulatory and the bone structure of the body and stimulates tissue regeneration.

Garnet: The Garnet is known as the health stone because it adjusts the flow of chi (energy) providing for a balanced energy field around the physical body and aligning the emotional and intellectual bodies. It can also be worn to eliminate bad dreams. Garnet rules the root and heart chakras. It stimulates creativity, passion and the circulatory system. The brighter the better. It rules the root and 3rd chakras. It is a warming stone that grounds and energizes emotionally and physically. It was historically used by ancient cultures for exhaustion, low blood pressure detoxification and strengthening blood, the muscles and the kidneys. Garnet stimulates the life force and sexuality and is great physically for hormone balancing and fertility and emotionally for passion, stamina and confidence. It is yang energy so avoid if you have a problem with too much heat that can present itself physically as too much anger, high blood pressure, inflammation, etc. If carried around in a pocket and then placed on the forehead of another person, closer ties will form with that individual. All Garnets bring about business opportunities and filter out concerns that are not ones own. Garnets teach patience and constancy and are not to be used lightly. They develop ones love and compassion. They can sharpen self-perception and extend that openness to others. They can help calm anger towards oneself because they make that self-perception available in a loving and non-judgmental way.
Garnet - Almandine: Almandine Garnet is stone can aid one in finding joy in the physical plane, feeling supported in one's needs and desires, and in giving and receiving love. It can assist one in accessing past-life memories from ancient civilizations and in clearing karmic patterns. Almandine Garnet helps one release panic, worry, fear and anxiety, especially around financial matters. It can teach one to develop trust in the infinite abundance of the Universe and helps one to feel calm and grounded. It helps the body to connect with the revitalizing energy of the Earth. It also supports recuperation after injury, as well as the health of the ovaries and testes. This stone assists with grounding and protecting the owner.
Gold: Gold, purifies and energizes the physical body, improves circulation and strengthens the nervous systems. It helps to balance and develop the heart chakra. It also balances both hemispheres of the brain, aiding in enhanced brain function. It attracts positive energy to the aura and amplifies thought forms. It will aid personal illumination. It is solar energy with a yang aspect. It activates and opens the navel, heart and crown chakras.
Goldstone: Goldstone is a type of glass with brownish coloring containing copper glitter. It is the result of alchemists of old who were working to create gold. Wit its infusion of copper shavings, it is known as a powerful energy generator. It has a gentle and emotionally uplifting energy, which has been said to store the energy of those who touch it, making it an excellent gift for loved ones who are far away. Carry this stone with you for a week and then give it to a relative and they will feel you close by. It is also known a stone of ambition and drive. It has many of the properties of copper, including strengthening the circulatory system, strengthening bones, and easing arthritis pain.
Goldstone - Blue: Blue Goldstone is generally thought to be a stone of wisdom and science, which can teach us to reach for the stars and helping to remind us of the light within the darkness. It carries with it all the same properties of Goldstone.

Hematite: Hematite is one of ultimate grounding stones and is another stone that is often used as a protection against negativity. It's a great stone to carry or wear in the office and under other challenging situations like you would find in a courtroom. It's also been used with great success in treating jet lag by keeping you grounded!!
Herkimer Diamond: The Herkimer Diamond is a powerful attunement crystal, especially the smaller and clear ones. It’s said that these stones can greatly enhance psychic abilities such as spiritual vision and telepathy, linking to higher guidance and promoting stronger dream recall. It clears the chakras and opens spiritual channels to flow. It can be used to access past-life information for the purpose of recognizing blocks or resistance to spiritual growth. Iolite: The blue/violet gem called Iolite is the gemstone of clear vision. It activates the throat chakra and clears the way for activation of the 6th and 7th chakras. Tektites: Tektites are natural glass objects primarily composed of silica. They found on Earth are formed by large asteroidal or cometary impact with the Earth. Energy from the impact melts terrestrial rock and ejects it into the upper reaches of the atmosphere. A few minutes later tektites rain down. The final morphologies are largely dependent on the distance from the source crater and the degree of terrestrial weathering/etching. How do they form? 1) A comet or asteroid impacts the Earth, probably at an oblique angle. 2) Terrestrial (Earth) rock is melted and ejected into the upper atmosphere at hyper-velocities. 3) Tektites rain down. a) If close to the source they land molten or with just a thin brittle outer shell which may crack. Bald spots form due to flaking on the anterior surface. b) At medium distances of around 2000 to 4000 km from the impact site they have solidified sufficiently on the exterior that during re-entry the heating causes paper-thin cracks and spalling on the anterior surface. c) At greater distances of around 4000 km to 6000km the tektites re-enter the atmosphere solid. They melt, producing buttons and commonly spall, producing cores. 4) In the soil tektites are naturally etched, enlarging any paper-thin cracks. U-grooves form on the anterior and V-grooves form on the posterior.
